We had no idea where this tour was going to take us but that just made us appreciate each spot even more. We excitedly hopped into the multi-cab, curious to see where the day’s adventure would take us.
Watch our “Secret Tour”
Our first stop was at Barangay Maasin: Buyod Restaurant where we had a coffee while overlooking the coconut trees. After fueling up with caffeine, we were brought to San Miguel which had a little lake with a rope and diving board where people could show off their flipping skills. We were the only people there which made the vibe even more peaceful. The inviting lake water was perfectly refreshing.
The last stop of the tour was Barangay Baybay where we visited a fish farm. It also had a lake with crystal clear water thanks to which you could see some fishies swimming around different spots. This is where we feasted on lunch which included grilled fish and veggies all from the garden, accompanied with freshly picked buko that was overflowing with juice! After lunch, we learned how to make bamboo straws. We were also able to take a quick dip here too.
You should definitely consider booking this tour if you like a little mystery. Let us know what secret itinerary you go on for your tour!
Electric Skateboard Tour

Whether you are a beginner or pro skater, this tour offers you a new and exciting way to experience Siargao. Before anything else, you will be instructed on how to use the electric skateboard with hand remotes that allow you to control the acceleration and breaks easily. This process is so easy to learn that you should be ready to go after around 5 minutes.
You’ll ride across the famous Catangnan Bridge and make it to low-traffic roads where you can take the time to appreciate the wind through your hair and the lush nature around you. After riding around for a while, it’s time to take a refreshing dip at an infinity pool! But don’t lounge about too much because you’ll then be taken to skate back through Catangnan Bridge to catch the wondrous sunset.
Ride into the sunset and feel that “this is the life” vibe with this tour! There are different variations of this tour with a shorter ride of 5-10km, one where you do a bit of a longer ride from 10-15 km, and one version where you get to visit a skatepark as well.

Island Hopping Tours
Bike Tour around La Januza Island
This tour may start with an overnight stay at Mam-on island if you’re up for it. We would definitely recommend you stay here and take the time to explore this island and its local village. When we were here we were able to see baby piggies running around! There are also secret surf spots here if you’re in the mood to catch some waves. If you aren’t into surfing then bring out your snorkels because the gorgeous blue water also has a protected marine life sanctuary that you can swim over. You can also rent some stand up paddleboards.
Our Overnight stay at Mam-on Island
From Mam-on, we took a boat to La Januza island. La Januza is a fishing village and when we first got ashore we were greeted by their many colorful fishing boats. Your first stop here will be Suyangan village with its different types of house with most growing their own little farm of fruits, vegetables, and herbs in their front garden. The next stop is Barangay La Januza. The bike journey begins here! Barangay La Januza is around 2 kilometers away and the view going there is just spectacular. Despite the distance being quite short, we both found ourselves taking our time because the journey was just so beautiful. There were no paved roads the last time we were there but the ride was still manageable. The roads were lined with trees and greenery as far as the eye can see. Riding our bikes slowly across the island was a serene experience. The energy around the island was peaceful and welcoming. Kids were playing on the streets and everyone had a bright smile to share.
Watch this and Explore this Island
We were also able to pass by Hardin ng Pangbabago which is a flourishing farm teeming with upo, kalabasa, watermelons, tomatoes, kamote, and so much more. They even have a little hut as a nursery for their baby seedlings to grow. The Hardin provides work for everyone with gardening and harvesting jobs for those interested.
From there we hopped on our bikes once more and rode to The Lighthouse. Now, Ave is actually quite scared of heights, but she decided to still do it because she believes it is important to challenge yourself from time to time. And what a rewarding challenge it was! Once you get to the top of the lighthouse, you are greeted with a 360 view with the blue ocean on one side and the green islands on the other.
Watch Our Bicycle Adventure
We would 100% recommend this idyllic biking tour for anyone visiting Siargao. Book with Galatea Tours Siargao for this wonderful experience.
Hidden Lake on Poneas Island
This tour is a bit more physically demanding compared to those mentioned so far, but if you’re up for the challenge, you will be rewarded with a view (and a workout).
Make your way over to San Benito port which is a 40 minute drive from General Luna and a 20 minute drive from Northern Siargao. From here, you’ll make it to Kangkangon island (where Martin is said to be the first Norwegian on this island). Martin had a great time exploring this island and talking with some of the people who lived there. During his exploring he even found a volleyball court to enjoy some beach volleyball. After swimming and dominating on the volleyball court, it was time to head to Poneas island.
Watch and be Inspired
Poneas island has a hidden treasure in its midst: a hidden lake! Before seeing the lake though, you have to make it through the 50-minute trek. The trek is quite difficult but once you see the lake, it’s very easy to wash away all your sweat with the refreshing water. There is a rope swing to help you drop in and get that instant relief for your tired muscles. The hidden lake felt like a secret paradise surrounded with little hills abounding with trees. It definitely felt worth the visit.
Island Hopping in Northern Siargao
Since we love Northern Siargao, we couldn’t help but include this tour here! In 2020, we were lucky enough to be invited by the former Vice Mayor of Santa Monica to do some island hopping in Northern Siargao. We made our way to the port of Santa Monica, which is actually the longest port in Siargao, and happily jumped on board a bangka with our masks.
Our first stop was the Pagbasayan island. At the time we went, there weren’t any tourists on this island, it didn’t even have any huts by the shore. It is an incredibly peaceful island with unlimited coconut trees! Just be careful to watchout for niknik or sand flies, make sure to pack some insect repellant or citronella patches.
After lounging around the beach and remembering that there is still another island to get to, we were brought to the Naked Island of the North. There was absolutely no one else on this beach when we were there so we decided to have a little photoshoot on the island. On the way back we were able to swim at a coral reef. The water was just too clear and tempting for us, we couldn’t help but jump in! Make sure you have your snorkels with you to witness the thriving aquatic life.
Check out the underrated islands of Northern Siargao, away from the crowds, and swim in the stunning aquamarine water!
